Question to Crane from customer:
"I have a 1958 Corvette. Are there any differences between
your new
frame and an original '58 frame that an NCRS judge might notice? Thanks.
Answer: they are made to the GM -chevrolet OEM
blueprints, exact.!!
but, of course they look "new" are are powercoated for durability
-semi-gloss
correct. also -- yes the 1956-58 front brace off the header bar was
originally an inferior
2 -piece design (lead to cracking and breaking and
lacked adjustment) , and in late '58
was replaced with the "new"
chevy engineering improved 1-piece bracket/plate.
thus the 2-piece is not availble any more and we only use the
1- piece for all 1956-62 frames we sell.
and
"Yes" we have been selling our CRAne-koffman tops for
over 21 years to everyone including NCRS/Bloomington Gold Judges.
